We want to give you as much support as you feel you need. Katie, our Supporter Groups Officer, is there at the end of the phone or email for any questions you might have and to give you support for your fundraising and events.
In addition to Katie, other members of The Brain Tumour Charity team are available to help you raise the most money possible, for example our communications team can provide advice and support with getting your events publicised and handling the media or designing a flyer/advert.
We recognise that many Groups are set up in difficult circumstances or if you're living with a brain tumour you might have questions and need information about what you're going through. Our professional and compassionate Information and Support Team are there for anyone associated with our Groups at any time (0808 800 0004 / info@thebraintumourcharity.org)
You will be invited to regular conferences and ‘gatherings’ so you can meet with, and get support from, other groups in your area. These days are a chance to swap experiences and ideas, and trade top tips. You’ll also be able to access our special Groups area of the website, with forums, downloads, materials and videos all designed to help you get the most from your fundraising. When you start up, we'll send you a Fundraising Toolkit to help you get started.
We will also provide you administrative support. By becoming a Supporter Group, you have all the benefits of being your own charity (the name), but without the administrative hassles. We deal with all the legal stuff, sort out your banking and keep you updated on total amount you have raised and handle Gift Aid.
