Everest in the Alps
In March 2015, a team of 14 climbed the equivalent height of Mount Everest on skis in the Swiss Alps. They battled 13 ascents of up to 2,500m, 28 hours of uphill ski-touring and burnt approximately 40,000 calories during the four day challenge!
The event was coordinated and led by Rob Ritchie, a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, whose son has a brain tumour. They raised a staggering £3 million for The Brain Tumour Charity.
