There are so many different ways in which your company can support us, from volunteering your time and sharing invaluable skills and knowledge through to fundraising and giving a Gift in Kind. Take a look below at how you and your colleagues can support us.
Choose us as your Charity of the Year
If you have a Charity of the Year programme please don't forget to nominate The Brain Tumour Charity or let us know when an application process opens, so we can apply.
We have a proven track record of working successfully with a variety of brands at a local and national level including Avaya, Bluecube Technology Solutions, Chiltern Railways, Dorset Cereals, Goldman Sachs, Hays Recruitment, Lockton Companies LLP, and VoIP Unlimited.
Our team will provide guidance, expertise and support throughout the whole partnership.
We will work closely with you to plan an inclusive calendar of fundraising, events and communications to bring our partnership to life. We will also be on hand to support all your activities and give inspirational ideas to help you reach your fundraising targets and CSR objectives.
Choosing us as your Charity of the Year means your resources will be focused on a cancer of unmet need and will make a genuine difference.
Give a Gift in Kind
Providing a gift or service to The Brain Tumour Charity can help us to reduce our running costs and allow us to concentrate our funding on reaching our goals. We receive many valued donations like technology solutions, office furniture and gifts for children, all of which are instrumental in helping us focus our funding into life-saving research, raising awareness and supporting families.
Aykroyd & Sons have been supporting us since 2012 and very generously donate pyjamas for our Brainy Bags – a key way in which we support children and families affected by a brain tumour.
“Aykroyd & Sons is proud to support The Brain Tumour Charity in as many ways as possible. Donating pyjamas is just one way to brighten a young child's day and anything that can be done to help any child suffering from this terrible illness is so worthwhile. The Charity is very close to our hearts following the tragic loss of our Design Director, Pauline, to this illness, and we will continue to remember her by supporting this hugely hard working charity." David Aykroyd, Joint Managing Director
Cause Related Marketing
Cause Related Marketing (CRM) is an excellent way for your business to work with The Brain Tumour Charity to promote a product or service for mutual benefit. It's simple – link a product to The Brain Tumour Charity to help increase sales with a percentage of the profits being given to us.
Following the diagnosis of a brain tumour in 2015, Resolute founder Jordan Toms underwent major surgery followed by a long period of gruelling rehabilitation. Together with his brothers Callum and Adam, they founded Resolute – a sports fitness and wellbeing brand with the aim of motivating and inspiring people to look after their health, as well as creating wider change in the health and fitness industry.
The brothers have pledged to donate 10% of profits to The Brain Tumour Charity. A truly remarkable pledge and we are ever so thankful for their dedicated support.
Proven to build brand awareness, maintain customer loyalty and gain new consumer interest, CRM is a fantastic way to promote your product or brand and raise money for a good cause.
Donate your time and talent
Would you and your colleagues like to offer your time instead of, or as well as, fundraising for us?
We welcome pro-bono training and skill-sharing through learning lunches and training programmes, to support our learning organisational culture. Your staff will have the opportunity to share their valuable skills with us, our volunteers and inspirational Young Ambassadors to help us reach our goals.
CTN Communications, a creative corporate communications agency not only raised money for us, but shared their impressive media expertise too.
“CTN are of a similar size to The Brain Tumour Charity and they too punch well above their weight in terms of projects and impact. While fundraising activities are key, it is CTN's skills and services that can really make a difference for us. From media training for key staff and creating engaging films that tell powerful stories, to events and digital campaigns consultancy, CTN's staff are delighted to have the opportunity to share their knowledge to help increase the impact of communications by The Charity." Donna Burtchaell, Account Director
We also have several enjoyable volunteering opportunities at our charity events throughout the year - such as cheering on our runners at The Virgin Money London Marathon, supporting 1,500 walkers at The Twilight Walk Series - our flagship Autumn 10K walks and helping out at our glamorous fundraising balls and galas.
Last year we had teams of volunteers from IBM, UPS and Lockton LLP all giving up their time to route steward at The Twilight Walks Series and this year we will once again need an army of volunteers to bring The Twilight Walk Series to our community. Cisco Systems, Aon and Barclays also volunteered with us over the festive season - helping us send the mountains of Christmas card orders out to our supporters.
Donate meeting space
The cost of hiring a meeting space in central London for vital meetings can often lead to paying hundreds of pounds, which could instead be invested in life-saving research. We are regularly looking for companies who can offer us a meeting space to use on an adhoc basis. We are able to plan in advance and highlight your generosity and the difference you are making to our community through our website and social media channels.
Sponsor an event
Sponsoring an event provides a fantastic opportunity to promote your brand to a captive audience and achieve your CSR and marketing objectives.
Why not consider sponsoring our hugely successful annual The Twilight Walk Series? You could sponsor the entire event, provide bottled water with your branding or sponsor route markers.
Your company could also sponsor one of our influential evening events, including The Lewis Moody Foundation Annual Dinner or the Joseph Foote Ball, both of which attract celebrity endorsement and raise significant amounts for The Brain Tumour Charity.
Our team would work with you to find the best way to promote your brand at these high profile events.
From all of us here at The Brain Tumour Charity and on behalf of everyone affected by a brain tumour, we would like to say a massive thank you to all our partners that are supporting us in so many different ways. They are helping us get closer to achieving our goals of doubling survival rates, and halving the harm that brain tumours have on quality of life.
