Live Chat is our free, online chat service, available from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday and provides a simple way to ask a question or raise concerns without needing to pick-up the phone.

No matter what your concern, a friendly member of our information and support team will be there to answer your questions and offer support.

Some examples of what you might like to talk to us about:

  • Questions about treatments
  • Information about the day-to-day challenges or issues of living with a brain tumour
  • Questions you have about caring for someone with a brain tumour
  • Access to different types of support for you or a loved one

  • Questions about driving, or travel insurance

How to start a live chat

  1. The service is available by visiting the 'Get Support' and 'Understanding Brain Tumours' pages of our website
  2. To start a chat with us, simply click on the 'Can we help?' button in the bottom right of the page
  3. A box will open asking you to enter a few details; – your name, email address and postcode. This information helps us, should we need to sign post you to further support in your area
  4. Our team will then be online and ready to help
  5. All you have to do then is send your question and one of our knowledgeable support team will reply almost instantly

Sometimes, your question may take a little more time to answer, as we may need to do some research to be able to answer your question fully. But, we will always keep you updated and will let you know if we need to come back to you at a later date, so we can provide the best, most informed response.

If you have a medical question

We are not medically trained so won't be able to answer any specific questions/give advice about your individual treatment plan or be able to offer any form of diagnosis. But, we will offer advice on who you can speak to.

As we are a UK charity, all our information is based on the UK healthcare system. If you are contacting us from outside the UK, therefore, we will not be able to provide any information about the healthcare system in your country.


We are currently available to chat between 9am and 5pm (GMT) Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

There may be times we're offline, but you can leave a message for us and one of the support team will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can also get hold of us by emailing: and we'll aim to get back to you within one working day.
