Exciting new partnership with Make a Will Online

We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Make a Will Online, an easy and convenient way to write your Will for free

We’ve teamed up with Make a Will Online, a digital platform that enables our community in England and Wales to write their Wills for free from the comfort of their own home. Choosing to write their Will with Make a Will Online will give our supporters the reassurance that their Will is professionally drafted and checked by a qualified solicitor.

Make a Will Online guides our community through the process of making their Will, giving them the opportunity to really consider their intentions and take it at their own pace. This is available to all of The Charity’s supporters and service users without any obligations whatsoever to include a gift to The Charity in their Will.

We’re committed to being there for our community every step of the way. Receiving a brain tumour diagnosis can bring up a lot of questions with a lot of unknown answers. But we’re determined to make it as easy as possible for our supporters and service users to get their affairs in order and give them the opportunity to write a Will for free.

I had been thinking about writing my will for some time. It was so quick and easy to set up my will online and I am really not sure when I would have got round to it if the digital option was not available. I now feel confident that my loved ones are taken care of and I have been able to leave a small gift to The Brain Tumour Charity as part of my legacy.

There is no obligation for our supporters to include a gift to The Brain Tumour Charity in their Will, but we are so grateful to anyone who does. We’re making extraordinary advances thanks to the support of people who remembered us in their Wills many years ago. They have enabled us to:

  • Invest over £50 million in world-class, forward-thinking research
  • Launch BRIAN, our ground-breaking app and databank to accelerate progress towards a cure.
  • Support thousands of people affected by a brain tumour each year.
  • Halve the average diagnosis time for children in the UK through our HeadSmart campaign.

Just imagine what our supporters can help us to achieve in the next few decades.

We’re the only charity dedicated to beating brain tumours on all three fronts: supporting everyone affected by a brain tumour, campaigning for change and funding vital research. So when our supporters remember The Brain Tumour Charity in their Will, they can be sure they’re making the biggest difference to all those facing this disease – now and in the future.

We all have our own reasons for wanting to fundraise but I think most people want to do something now, tomorrow or next week. I was the same, but since visiting a lab and seeing the time, money and resources that go into just the smallest breakthrough, it’s inspired me to think ahead.

Alex, who fundraises for us in memory of his mum.

Our community can visit Make a Will Online to get started on writing their Will for free today.
Or, if they have your own solicitor, they can go and speak to them about updating their Will with a gift to The Brain Tumour Charity. The Will writer will only need our charity name and registered charity number: The Brain Tumour Charity. Registered Charity Number: 1150054. It is up to the supporter to then decide what size and kind of gift they would like to give.

Always seek independent legal advice should any questions or concerns arise while using an online Will writing service. We recommend using The Law Society’s database to find a trusted legal professional.

Thank you for your support.
