We are thrilled to announce our first ever awards, recognising those in the brain tumour community who are leading the way in support, awareness and vital research

They are being held to celebrate the achievements of everyone that is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours, making a difference to the lives of those affected by a brain tumour.

Hal Cruttenden, a long time High Profile Supporter of ours, will host the award ceremony on the evening of 19 April, introducing all nine categories and their nominees.
We’ve had a total of over 100 nominations for the awards – there are so many people doing so much for The Charity and worthy of recognition.

The top four categories below are going out to public vote. Three nominees have been shortlisted in each of these categories by an external judging panel, and we’re asking people to choose their winner.

There’s a video for each nominee live on the website to help people decide and it’s simple to vote online here

The Charity would like to say a big thank you to those that have shown an exceptional level of commitment to supporting the work of The Brain Tumour Charity over the past year.

Clare Normand, our Head of Strategy said: Every person in this remarkable community dedicated to defeating brain tumours shows courage and tenacity in their own way, routinely pushing themselves to extraordinary lengths to unite against this devastating disease.

“Hearing individual stories as the nominations for these awards flood in has been humbling and truly inspiring – we simply could not have made the progress we have without each and every person.

“This is our chance to recognise each individual and their collective impact, to thank everybody for their support and involvement and celebrate everything we have achieved together.”

The awards will feature nine categories, including Clinician of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and The Research Engagement Award, and Influencer of the Year, reflecting everyone in the brain tumour community from local fundraisers to those leading the charge to discover new treatments for cure.
