For the last couple of years The Brain Tumour Charity has worked with Dr David Michod to run lab experiences for those interested in pursuing a research career.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on with science, learn basic lab techniques and understand more about the incredible world of research. In fact, a lab experience was the very thing that triggered Dr Michod’s appetite for research!

What, where and when?
A week-long work experience placement at UCL Institute of Child Health, London. You’ll work alongside Dr David Michod and his team who focus on research into brain tumours. You will need to be in the lab between 11am and 4pm for the week commencing 21 August 2017.
Who can apply?
This would suit students currently completing year 12 of full time education, and ideally doing a biology and/or chemistry A level. You should be interested in research and may already have a specific interest in brain tumours.

Travel costs will need to be covered by the applicant, and no accommodation is provided by The Charity or the University.
