Ex- England Rugby Captain Lewis Moody to join families at Gloucestershire Family Day

The Wilderness Centre will host The Brain Tumour Charity’s Gloucestershire Family day next month as part of the charity’s commitment to supporting all those affected by this devastating disease.

The Wilderness Centre will host The Brain Tumour Charity’s Gloucestershire Family day next month as part of the charity’s commitment to supporting all those affected by this devastating disease.

The aim of Family Days is to provide a fun, relaxing, and supportive experience for families where a parent is living with a brain tumour.

The day will be run in partnership with The Lewis Moody Foundation and Lewis and his wife Annie will join the families on the day.

Lewis said: “The venue looks fantastic with archery, bush craft and the giant crate stack amongst other activities. I’m particularly looking forward to trying my hand at archery! It’s always a great honour for us to meet families at these days and know how much people come to value them. We would love to welcome you and your family there on the day. Everything is free and taken care of so do please join us if you can.”

The free to attend days have proven to be a lifeline for parents and families affected by a parent’s diagnosis of a brain tumour to gain support from others going through similar experiences.

Elissa Coster, Children and Families Manager said: “Our Family Days provide the opportunity to spend time together as a family whilst meeting other families who are going through similar experiences.

“We are delighted to be holding our next Family Day in Gloucestershire to help provide support to families affected by a parent’s diagnosis with a brain tumour.

“We know that receiving a brain tumour diagnosis can be a difficult and scary time and we are dedicated to improving quality of life for everyone affected.

“They are truly magical and we can’t wait to see you there.”
