What's in the Patient Guide?
The guide includes:
Our Patient Guide to Brain Tumour Treatment and Services aims to help people living with a brain tumour feel better informed during their treatment and care.
We know that, following a brain tumour diagnosis, dealing with the NHS and other agencies can be a new and sometimes intimidating experience. We believe everyone affected, regardless of their age, postcode or tumour type should have access to the best treatment, care and information, but are aware this isn't always the case.
We hope that the information in the Patient Guide to Brain Tumour Treatment and Services will help patients and families feel empowered to ask about these opportunities, influence how services are improved over the long term and allow individuals to access them in the short-term.
The Guide has been developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients, and has been designed to help you know who and what to ask, and feel confident when discussing your options with your medical team.
By having this information, we hope that patients and families will feel empowered to ask about these opportunities, influencing how services are improved over the long term and allowing individuals to access them in the short-term.
If you'd like a copy of our Patient Guide sent to you in the post, you can order it as part of our Brain Tumour Information Pack.
