Join us at Portugal’s biggest running event, the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon! Famed for its flat and fast course take in the stunning views of Portugal’s Capital whilst accelerating a cure for brain tumours.
The course follows the shores of the River Tagus, with an unforgettable start crossing the impressive 25 de Abril bridge and a finish overlooked by the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos monument. Attracting athletes of all levels, from elite runners to first-timers, the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon provides a fantastic opportunity for a personal best. The course has previously hosted the half marathon world record in 2000, 2010, and 2021.

Every day, 34 people in the UK are given a devastating brain tumour diagnosis. For these people and their loved ones, cures simply can’t wait! When you sign up to take on the Lisbon Half Marathon, every mile you run, every metre you move and every penny you raise, will help give hope to those affected by brain tumours.
Every £300 you raise
could fund a day of world-class research into brain tumours.
Every £1,000 you raise
could fund the RNA sequencing required for one of our research projects developing cures for children with brain tumours for an entire year.
Every £2,000 you raise
could fund the bioluminesence imaging required for a year on one of our glioblastoma research projects.

SuperHalfs Half Marathon Series
The SuperHalfs are a series of six glorious half marathons that will take you to Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia. Complete these races in any order and there is no deadline to get them ticked off your list! Collect stamps in your SuperHalf passport and you will receive your SuperMedal at the finish line of your last race!
The first SuperHalf of the year, set amongst the stunning views of Portugal’s capital.
Taking place on the 28th March 2026, run through the centre of Prague and add another SuperHalf to your collection.
Take on another SuperHalf to be one step closer to completing the challenge!

The Superhalfs are a series with 6 races including:
Lisbon – Prague – Berlin – Copenhagen – Cardiff – Valencia

Anyone who completes all six races, regardless of the time taken, will receive a SuperMedal. Race expiration dates have now been removed and the SuperHalfs series has no time limit for completion. “Complete” means you must finish the race, i.e. you must have an official chip time in the race results. Runners can complete the races in any order

If successful, you will also need to pay a £35 registration fee per half marathon application. A member of our Events Team will contact you to arrange.
The minimum fundraising target is £400 (excluding Gift Aid) per half marathon exclusive of any registration fees.
Successful applicants will need to arrange their own travel and accommodation.

SuperPassport is your digital passport where you can collect stamps as you complete each race and track your progress on your running journey. It shows your official race results. It doesn’t show our race registrations.
You will need to input this passport number whenever you enter a race. You can create your SuperPassport (your SuperHalfs account) with its unique passport number at www.superhalfs.com. If you have entered your SuperHalfs passport number on the registration form when you signed up for any of the races, your passport will be automatically stamped within three days after the race. If you did not insert a SuperPassport number, you will be able to claim your result in your SuperHalfs account a few days after the event. We always send an email confirmation to all SuperPassport holders when the results are added or ready to claim. Once you are registered for your final race with your passport number, the race organisers will be notified that you are expected to attend and become a SuperRunner – meaning your SuperMedal will be ready for collection once you have crossed the finish line.

We will consider a range of factors when allocating our places, including personal reasons for taking part and your ability to achieve our minimum fundraising target of £400. If successful, you will also need to pay a £35 registration fee and will be contacted by a member of our Events Team to arrange. The application review timings for Autumn 2026 events is still to be confirmed.
