Apply now to join The Brain Tumour Charities Chicago Marathon team, and conquer one of the renowned Abbott World Marathon Majors.

This event will see you start and finish in Grant Park and take you through the magnificent streets of Chicago. Join over 37,000 other runners all whilst going further, faster for a cure! This is a highly sought after event with over 160,000 applicants for the 2025 race.

This is an application based event, and applications are submitted through Realbuzz. A member of our events team will then be in contact once your application has been reviewed and the team has been selected.

Please note realbuzz is an international partner of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon so we are not be able to offer places to US residents.

could fund the RNA sequencing required for one of our research projects developing cures for children with brain tumours for an entire year.

FAQ’s for the Chicago Marathon

To take part in this event, you must be at least 16 years old by the Event date.

We appreciate all applicants taking the time to apply for a place and we aim to let you know by the beginning of April if you have been successful or not. We will also let you know if you have been placed on a waitlist.

We will support you through every step of your Chicago Marathon journey, from fundraising advice to training tips. Below we have outlined some of the many ways we support our runners: 

-Fundraising resources via The Brain Tumour Charity website
-Physical training support from team coach (we know it’s more than just putting one foot in front of the other!)
-Closed Facebook group for only The Brainy Bunch Fundraisers – introduce yourself to the rest of the team, you are all one big family by when it comes to the big day!
