Charity skydive: taking leaps towards cures
Join our team of fearless fundraisers this World Brain Tumour Day and feel the rush as you free fall at 125mph from 10,000 feet in a charity skydive! Take part with others up and down the country to accelerate a positive change in how people affected by brain tumours are diagnosed, supported and – ultimately – cured. We’ll be with you every step of the way as you tick off your next bucket list activity.

Where
Choose from 17 airfields across the UK! We work with Skyline Events to organise Charity Funded Skydives. The airfields available are: Brackley, Bridlington, Brigg, Coleraine, Cornwall, Durham, Honiton, Lancaster, Maidstone, Netheravon, Norwich, Nottingham, Old Sarum, Peterborough, St Andrews, Swansea and Whitchurch.
When
We’re hosting a skydive week (8-15 June) kickstarting on the 8 June, World Brain Tumour Day to take leaps towards a world where people diagnosed with brain tumours live longer and better lives.
How
We work with Skyline Events to organise charity-funded skydives and we ask you to pay a registration fee of £70 and fundraise a minimum of £430 per person. This helps us cover the cost of your skydive and ensure your hard-earned fundraising goes towards our charitable objectives. Once you’ve signed up we recommend setting up an online fundraising page on JustGiving!
Supporting you on your skydive
When you join our team, you’ll receive support from the Events Team including:
- email updates
- access to our fundraising resources
- a charity t-shirt to wear for the event
- access to a Facebook group for our fundraisers
- A skydiving medal
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us; email events@thebraintumourcharity.org or call 01252 237867.
Falling 10,000 feet at 125mph is less scary than facing a brain tumour.

FAQs
-
There is no deadline, places will depend on availability at your chosen airfield. However, you will need to allow sufficient time to get fundraising!
-
The weight limits for men and women can vary between our airfields – you can click here to see the limits at each airfield. Just click on your selected location to see the details.
For the tandem skydives the minimum age is 16 – however anyone aged 16 or 17 would need to have a parental consent form on the day of their jump. You will have access to this once you have booked. Some airfields also have an upper age limit.
-
Skydiving is a weather dependent activity this means there is a chance you may have to wait all day for the right weather conditions and then not be able to jump. The airfield will try their best to make sure you can jump on the day!
-
Check out Skylines a day in a life of a skydiver article to see what you’ll be doing on the day. They also have more information on their FAQs page.
-
All of our jumpers will have needed to raise the £430 minimum sponsorship by 25th May. This is so The Charity are able to cover the cost of your skydive (usually around £200). This allows for the rest of your hard-earned fundraising to go towards beating brain tumours. If you are unable to reach the minimum fundraising you will have to cover the cost of the skydive on the day. However, we will support you through your fundraising journey.
