The Big Bake 2026
The Big Bake is back for Brain Tumour Awareness Month and we need you to help us accelerate cures for brain tumours by raising lots of dough.
Whether you hold your bake on Friday 27 March and join us for The Biggest Bake or find a more suitable date during March to host your event, every penny you raise will help us move further, faster for everyone affected by a brain tumour.

How to get involved in The Big Bake
Hosting a Big Bake doesn’t need to be complicated, it can be as simple as inviting family and friends to your house for fun and games, fruit cake, focaccia, fondant fancies and – most of all – fundraising. But you could also sell sausage rolls at school, Welsh cakes at work or Victoria sponge in a village hall.
And even if you’re a first-time fundraiser, you can become the host that raises the most because we’ll send you all the ingredients you need to make raising dough a doddle.

Now you’re cooking with gas, it’s time to share your Big Bake with your friends, family, peers and colleagues.

Register today and we’ll send you a fundraising kit with everything you need to prepare for your Big Bake.

Read our tips on how to host your Big Bake anytime, anywhere, in any way you like.

We’re asking everybody who takes part to raise £300. But raising more dough means that we can move further, faster towards cures for all brain tumours.
And it also means you move closer to receiving some fantastic baking prizes:
- Raise over £350 and you’ll receive one of our branded The Brain Tumour Charity oven gloves.
- Raise over £500 and you’ll receive an oven glove AND one of our show-stopping branded The Brain Tumour Charity aprons.
How your hundreds and thousands help
Each day in the UK, 34 people receive a devastating brain tumour diagnosis. Despite incredible advances in medicine over the last few decades, many of these people will be receiving the same treatment, care and support as they would have 40 years ago.
We’re committed to changing this. But we can’t do that without our secret ingredient – you!
Whether you’re a superstar baker or prefer to buy a supermarket showstopper, every cake, croissant and currant bun will help fund pioneering research and life-changing support services.

Keep baking: Lizzie’s story
Lizzie was just nine when she died, nine months after being diagnosed with a diffuse midline glioma (DIPG), one of the most aggressive childhood brain tumours. Throughout her treatment, Lizzie’s love of baking turned to fundraising to help fund vital research. Her legacy lives on through her recipe book, Keep Baking.

The Big Bake is our flagship baking event for everybody who’s passionate about raising dough to help support the brain tumour community. We’re asking supporters to join us for The Biggest Bake on 27th March, or to host a Big Bake in March and raise £300 or more.
The Big Bake is about two very important things – bringing people together and raising dough to support the brain tumour community.
First, you’ll need to decide a date and location for your Big Bake. Will you join us for The Biggest Bake on Friday 27 March or will you pick another date in March? And, do you want to serve up sausage rolls at school, Welsh cakes at work or Victoria sponge in your village hall?
Once you’ve got the time and place of your Big Bake figured out, it’s time to work on the treats. Whether you’re a superstar baker or prefer to buy a supermarket showstopper, make sure you encourage everybody you know to contribute something – sweet or savoury, every bake has the power to change lives!
On the day of your Big Bake, remember it’s all about raising dough for the cause. As well as selling treats, why not also hold a sweepstakes, a raffle or a “Guess the weight of the bake” competition? But don’t worry, when you sign up for The Big Bake, we’ll send you an in-depth guide that’ll help make raising dough a doddle.
March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month in the UK, which means it’s the perfect time to start conversations about brain tumours and raise funds to support our vital work. And what better way to do this than by bringing together family, friends and co-workers to raise some dough and enjoy a slice of cake?
Unless you opt out, everyone who signs up for The Big Bake will receive a physical fundraising pack to help make raising dough a doodle. The pack consists of a fundraising guide, a double-sided promotional and total amount raised poster, bunting, balloons, a helpful table cloth, a tri-fold table topper which you can stick your own donation QR code to, and more! If you do not want to receive a physical fundraising pack, our Community Fundraising Team will get in touch to offer additional support for your event.
You can expect to receive your physical fundraising pack 2-3 weeks after signing up, starting from early February.
