Young Adult Big Meet

Saturday 29 June 2019 ACUK Pioneer Centre Young Adult Events

If you're aged 16-30 and living with, or beyond, a brain tumour diagnosis, join us for The Big Meet 2019.

Please book your place below – we like to know who to expect and wouldn’t want anyone to miss out.

What should I expect?

Everyone is welcome.  You will have the opportunity to take part in a range of exciting activities including abseiling, archery, climbing and zip wire and to connect with other young adults who are going through similar experiences.

The day will be relaxed and informal with plenty of chill out space so you can take part in as much or as little as you’d like, getting to know others who understand the challenges a brain tumour diagnosis can bring and accessing support from The Brain Tumour Charity team.

If you’d like to bring a plus one with you, please do – this can be a family member, a friend or a partner.

Please note: All attendees including plus ones must be aged 16 and above. This is due to age restrictions being in place for some venues and activities.

Travelling in?

If you are arriving by car, please drive to DY14 8JG, there is parking available at the centre.

Pick ups will be available from Kidderminster train station - Please get in touch to confirm arrangements if you would like to use this service.

Please don’t worry about…

  • Money. The day is free to attend and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
  • Feeling anxious about not making friends. We guarantee you will! Everyone is in a similar boat and understands your situation so you’re sure to make friends. Plus, our friendly team are there to help too.
  • Fatigue. You’ll be surrounded by people who understand and if there’s anything you don’t want to do, or if you just want some time to relax, this is 100% okay!
  • “I won’t be very good at…” This is a relaxed space of supportive peers where it’s not the winning but the taking part (and having fun) that counts.
  • “I’m coming alone!” You’re welcome to bring a plus one, however, you’re sure to meet lots of people. So don’t worry if you do come alone; you soon won’t be!

Sign up today!
