Our open letter reaches 40,000 signatures in less than four weeks!

Our open letter now has 40,000 signatures. But we’re not done yet! There’s still time to sign it before we close the open letter on 15 April.

Campaign launch in Parliament Square, London

When we launched our open letter to Government at the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month, we set the ambitious target of getting 40,000 signatures before 15 April. Which is when Parliament resumes after its Easter break (29 March – 15 April).

However, the response from the brain tumour community – and beyond – has truly been above what we’d imagined. Together we’ve hit our target before Brain Tumour Awareness Month has even finished!

This is an incredible achievement. But we’re not done yet!

We know that every single signature moves us further, faster towards our goal of having Government recognise the urgent need for a National Brain Tumour Strategy. That’s why we think it’s a No Brainer to keep the letter open and stick to our plan of closing it on 15 April – just in time for MPs to return after the Easter break.

We’ll be handing in the open letter shortly after it closes to make sure the Health Minister receives our message loud and clear. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for when we do that.

In response to this exciting news, Cameron Miller, Director of Policy & External Affairs at The Brain Tumour Charity said, “It is remarkable and yet unsurprising that the brain tumour community have shown in overwhelming numbers that the best way to tackle this disease is through a systematic approach of having a National Brain Tumour Strategy.

We would encourage all of those who have yet to add their name to this letter, to do so and continue to demonstrate that there needs to be a step change in the way brain tumours are tackled.”

Thank you once again, for all your support and helping us achieve this incredible thing. Please don’t stop shouting about our open letter and sharing our No Brainer campaign because every signature really does matter.
