Let’s Talk About Brain Tumours podcast

Let’s Talk About Brain Tumours
Our podcast has been created in collaboration with the brain tumour community to provide an accessible way to share personal experiences and to hear about the charity’s work. Our volunteer hosts and audio editors have been personally affected by a brain tumour diagnosis, and have come together to help people share their experiences and raise awareness.
Subscribe to our podcast to hear from those who have been diagnosed with a brain tumour, as well as their friends, parents, partners and children.
You’ll also hear from charity staff, researchers, politicians, campaigners and healthcare professionals who are all working to change outcomes for those affected by this devastating set of diseases.
Meet the hosts of our brain tumour podcast
Meet the members of the community who volunteer their time each month to help make the Let’s Talk About Brain Tumours podcast.
Andy Tudor
Andy was diagnosed with a meningioma five years ago, ‘I went from having no knowledge of brain tumours to brain surgery in just six weeks. Once my treatment was successfully completed, I vowed to try to help others who have been impacted by the diagnosis and treatment of a brain tumour and who are looking for emotional guidance and support at a time of dire need.’
Anna Blyszko
Anna was one of our amazing Young Ambassadors and has remained part of our wider Involvement Network: “Having lost my father to a brain tumour back in 2011, when I was just 13 years old, The Brain Tumour Charity is a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. I feel like I’m finally in a position where I want to share my story and turn a very sad situation into a positive one.”
Chandos Green
Chandos has been involved with the charity since he became a young ambassador in 2016. He was diagnosed with a pilocytic astrocytoma when he was just three and had a re-occurrence when he was six. He remained in remission until 2014.
Chandos says: “After being re-diagnosed in June 2014 for the third time in my life, I knew I had to do something to support others living with a brain tumour. My third diagnosis came during my first year at university so I joined forces with The Brain Tumour Charity as a Young Ambassador and have been lucky enough to attend parliament and a number of fundraising events and conferences to help raise awareness and vital funds to find a cure for the disease that turned my life upside down”
