Mine to Mountain 2019

Saturday 20 July 2019 Tanygrisiau, Gwynedd Challenge Events

Join us on a mammoth 14 hour adventure from the deepest accessible point in the UK, all the way to the top of Snowdon and push yourself further to help us accelerate a cure!

Your day will start at the GoBelow base in Tanygrisiau, Blaenau Ffestiniog. They will kit you up with a harness, wellies, helmet and lamp to begin your instructor-led journey down into the bowels of Snowdonia. You'll cross ancient bridges, traverse catwalks and miners' stairways to reach a point that is 1,375 vertical feet underground - the very deepest place in the UK accessible to the public.

From the deepest point underground, you'll climb all the way back up and out of the mine via a different route to the way you came in. Once back in daylight, you'll head over to Pen-y-Gwryd to begin a guided ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales at 3,560 feet!
