Enter the Disability place ballot

A limited number of disability places are available through a random ballot organised by the TCS London Marathon. These places are for any participant with a permanent disability or long-term health condition.

Important information:

  • Deadline to enter: Thursday 31st July 23:59
  • To enter the ballot, participants must be 18 years or older by Event Day (26 April 2026)
  • Proof of disability is required and many different forms of proof are accepted. If you have difficulty obtaining proof, please contact accessibility@londonmarathonevents.co.uk
  • If successful in the ballot, you can apply for a free place for a support runner. You will need to email the London Marathon team outlining your request and the reasons for it at least 3 months prior to Marathon Day.

Enter the Assisted Wheelchair place ballot

A limited number of assisted wheelchair places are available through a random ballot organised by the TCS London Marathon. These places are exclusively for wheelchair participants with a permanent disability who are unable to get themselves around the course without assistance.

Important information:

  • To enter the ballot, participants must be 18 years or older by Event Day (26 April 2026)
  • Deadline to enter: Thursday 31st July 23:59
  • Each participant may have up to four support runners, all of whom must be 18 years or older on Event Day. However, only two support runners can assist at any time.

When you join our 2026 TCS London Marathon team, you’ll receive support from the Events Team including:

  • dedicated support from the Events Team
  • email updates
  • links to our runner resources
  • free access to Coopah, the official training app of the London Marathon
  • access to a training hub, with videos, articles and advice to help you prepare
  • a free charity running vest with your name printed on the front to wear with pride
  • cheer points on marathon route to give you a boost when you need it
  • space to celebrate with friends and family at our Meet & Greet and post-race party on marathon day
  • access to a Facebook group for our London Marathon team
