“What a fantastic weekend for Row for it! We had amazing support from everyone. The atmosphere was great and this helped our brave rowers through their challenges, despite some of them being in intense discomfort. We have had some wonderful feedback about how good the event was and the inspiring people involved." Ann Atkins, Row for It! Touchwood
An epic, inspiring row!
One Ocean, two young men, four world records and over £100k raised. On 3 May Tom and Lawrence left New York to row the 'wrong' (and hardest) way across the Atlantic Ocean in memory of Tom's dad Luke. Despite many harzards en route, including a hurricane, on 4 August, they touched land in Salcombe Harbour, Devon, to become the youngest duo to row across the Atlantic unaided.
Tom said: "If you have any sort of dream, I guarantee, if you keep on trying, again and again, I promise you, you will smash it."
Congratulations to them both!
