Our closed Facebook groups are a great place to connect with other people affected by a brain tumour and share your experiences.Facebook support groups
We know that it is not always easy for people with a brain tumour to get to a face to face support group. Our phone support groups offer the opportunity for you to connect with others affected by a brain tumour and discuss worries and concerns in a safe environment.
The groups take place on a monthly basis, on a set day and time and last for one hour. We have a number of groups so there are many days and times to choose from depending on what is best for you and availability within the group. Some members have been members for a while, are very welcoming to new members and are able to provide peer support as they have often faced similar questions and decisions in their own journey.
The groups are hosted by an experienced facilitator and the call is free of charge.
As well as facilitating phone support groups, we're now also hosting regular Online Meet Ups using Zoom.
There have been events for parents, carers and young adults, with new events planned for adults over 30 who are living with specific diagnoses.
We currently run three phone support groups on:
We are only able to have a maximum number of six people in each group, if all the groups are currently full then we will happily open a new group when we have a minimum of four people registered.
To join a phone support group please give our Support and Information Team a call on 0808 800 0004 and they will gladly discuss the availability of each of these sessions.
I have found it really helpful in the last 4 years and still do. I also hope that my experiences of living well with brain tumour are helpful to others.
