We’re teaming up with Motormouth and Movember to raise funds for cancer and mental health

We’re teaming up with motorsports platform MotorMouth and cancer charity Movember to raise funds and awareness at at the second-ever MotorMouth Celebrity Charity Kart Race on Thursday 31 March 2022.

On Thursday 31 March 2022, our supporters and motorsports fans will team up at the second-ever MotorMouth Celebrity Charity Kart Race to fundraise for The Brain Tumour Charity and Movember.

We’re so excited to partner with MotorMouth again for their Celebrity Charity Kart Race, especially after the success of the first event last summer. Not only was it an incredibly fun day out, but we managed to raise an amazing £10,000, which is enough to cover the cost of 40 days of medical research into brain tumours!

The event will once again feature celebrity and pro-racing drivers, show cars and a silent auction of exclusive F1 items with the goal of raising vital funds and awareness for both Movember and The Brain Tumour Charity.

We know that a cancer diagnosis can have a huge impact on your mental health and nobody is more familiar with these effects than those with lived experience. Hear ambassadors for The Brain Tumour Charity and Movember, Chandos and Ben, share with us why MotorMouth’s decision to support us both is important to them.

Both of these charities are close to my heart.

It’s been a very hard struggle to manage the impact on my mental health.

The partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity is inspired by MotorMouth’s Harry Benjamin, whose mum Ginny, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumour.

Ginny was diagnosed in 2017 after experiencing severe headaches which Harry’s dad, Jon, being a practicing neurosurgeon, suspected might be something more than just a bad headache. Surgery followed with chemotherapy for the majority of the year before more surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. However, she eventually passed away at home in November 2018.

Harry said: “Our last event was emotional and exciting in equal measure, and I’m so pleased we’re back to do it all again. My thanks to everyone involved and helping to fight for two amazing charities. #MMRace22 is set to be our biggest event yet.”

With just 10 days to go until the next event, you can support both The Brain Tumour Charity and Movember at once by bidding on the awesome prizes that you’ll find on the fundraising auction here or by tuning in to the event livestream on YouTube.
