‘A Heady Mix’ will feature acclaimed soloists, musicians and choirs dear to Sophie and her family, with selected pieces from the likes of Vivaldi and Handel and readings from Kahlil Gibran and Oscar Wilde, as well as from Sophie’s most recent novella What Does It Feel Like?

Sophie said: “I’m thrilled to be coming with my husband Henry to this concert A Heady Mix on Wednesday June 11th to support The Brain Tumour Charity.

“Since my glioblastoma diagnosis in 2022 I have been surrounded by the love and support of so many friends, family and readers from around the world. I’m incredibly grateful too for the wonderful medical care I’ve received. Brain cancer is an exceptionally hard to treat disease, and needs so much more research.

“The Brain Tumour Charity is a fantastic supporter of research and trials which will make a difference to sufferers and families now, and to those who are diagnosed in the future.

“The concert on Wednesday 11th is a celebration of the power of music to inspire us in our lives. There will also be readings by the actress Hermione Norris, including from What Does It Feel Like?, my book about my early brain tumour experience. I look forward to seeing you there!
