Cross-party support for a National Brain Tumour Strategy as we hand in our open letter to the government!

More than 52,000 of you joined our call for a National Brain Tumour Strategy and now Parliamentarians across the political spectrum have added their support.

Every day in the UK, an average of 34 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour. We launched our No Brainer campaign to let the government know that the need for a dedicated National Brain Tumour Strategy is urgent so that we can save lives and reduce suffering for each of those people.

More than 52,000 of you signed our open letter, ensuring our voice can be heard louder by decision-makers.

Today (Tuesday 23 April), we handed the open letter in at each of the Parliaments across the UK. By doing so, we hope to get the attention of each Health Minister and show them why we desperately need a National Brain Tumour Strategy that works for everybody – no matter where they live in the UK.

Cross-party support from politicians

To help create urgently needed change for people affected by a brain tumour, we’re delighted to have the support of a number of politicians from across the UK.

Four groups of cross-party politicians have written to each of their respective devolved nations’ Health Ministers to call for a National Brain Tumour Strategy.

We’re so pleased that improving outcomes for people diagnosed with a brain tumour has united politicians from across the political spectrum. It’s great to also see that the response from our supporters across the UK has been reflected by parliamentarians calling for change in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

We look forward to working with the Government in each of the devolved nations to make a difference for the brain tumour community however we can.
