Lake District Ultra Challenge

Take on England’s finest countryside at your pace as a walk, jog, or run. Challenge basecamp is in Kendal, and it’s a 100km looped route with a few tough hills to Ambleside; a halfway point by Lake Windermere with stunning views enroute, and a huge welcome back at basecamp! With 50km half,
marathon, quarter & 10km distance options also available – there’s a Lake District Challenge for everyone!

The Brain Tumour Charity is an official Series Partner of the 2026 Ultra Series which means you’ll receive a 50% discount on the ‘full sponsorship’ option when signing up.

How to enter the Lake District Ultra Challenge

Full Charity Sponsorship Mixed Funding Own Place Fundraising

You pay a small registration fee, do lots of fundraising and we cover the cost of your event place! As we are an official Charity Partner – you get 50% off the standard reg fee below which is automatically added at checkout.

100km: registration fee, £50, fundraising target £575

75km: registration fee £45, fundraising target £475

50km & Marathon: registration fee £40, fundraising target £375

25km: registration fee £30, fundraising target £275

10 km: registration fee £20, fundraising target £100

At least 50% of the sponsorship target must be with The Charity 3 week prior to the Challenge. Failure to meet the deadline may result in cancellation of your place by The Charity. The remaining 50% and any extra, should be with your Charity by 4 weeks after the Challenge. We are here to support you get to your fundraising target !

Pay half of the event place cost yourself, fundraise a bit less and we pay the balance of the event place cost.

50km & Marathon: registration fee £75, fundraising target £225

25km: registration fee £50, fundraising target £150

10 km: registration fee £22.50, fundraising target £70
