The Twilight Walk – London 2023

The Twilight Walk is back!

Join us for the first time ever in London as, we take the steps needed towards a cure through Brain Tumour Awareness Month.

Our stunning 10km route through London starts and finishes at the beautiful St Mary’s Church, Wyndham Pl, York St, London W1H 1PQ under the beautiful backdrop of London. You’ll be part of sea of red walkers in your Charity t-shirt and inspiration bib. And on completing the walk, you’ll get a nifty medal that will always remind you of the impact you’ve made!

It will be an amazing day for the whole family, taking in the iconic London landmarks, and enjoying being part of our team.

The whole route is wheelchair and push chair accessible. There will also be public toilets, cafes and places to stop for refreshments or a break should you need to.

What can I expect at The Twilight Walk?
We’ll have music, face painting, arts & crafts and temporary tattoos for everyone to get involved in! You’ll also have a chance to find out about The Charity’s new, exciting campaigns and research projects before warming up and starting The Twilight Walk. Can anyone enter?

Yes! The Twilight Walk is for every one of all ages and abilities. However, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

How long in the route?
The Twilight Walk is a 10km (6.2 miles) circular walk and will take you anywhere between 1 ½ hours to 2 ½ hours to complete, depending on your pace.

I am a wheelchair user, can I still take part?
The route is suitable for wheelchair users, however please contact us prior to the event to notify us that you’re taking part in a wheelchair.

Is it okay that I’m walking on my own?
Yes of course! If you’d like to meet and walk with others, there’ll be a meeting point arranged where you can meet others before the walk starts.

Volunteer at The Twilight Walk – London

Want to help The Twilight Walk – London run smoothly? We need you! Each volunteer is vital to making this event such a special and successful day, so no matter the role you play, you’ll make a big difference to us and all our walkers.

We have a variety of indoor and outdoor roles available, from route stewarding to helping people sign in on the day. All you have to do is pick the role that’s right for you.

However and wherever you get involved, you’ll be part of our dedicated community, uniting around the same goal – beating brain tumours for good.

Event details

When: Saturday 25 March 2023, walks start between 3:30pm and 4:30pm, registration opens from 2:30pm

Where: The walk will start and finish at St Mary’s Wyndham Pl, York St, London W1H 1PQ

Distance: 10km

Registration fee: £15 for Adults, £10 for Under 16’s and free for under 5’s

Sponsorship: £100

This event is organised by The Brain Tumour Charity.

A relaxed thoughtful occasion shared with friends and like-minded strangers, filled with the uplift of stories shared and nature observed, a Twilight Walk is, like twilight itself, is a bookend, punctuation, a moment for peaceful reflection in our busy lives which offers the possibility of a special sunrise offering new hope.
