Pedalling to defeat brain tumours

A team of from Ian Williams’ Plymouth office took on a two day cycle challenge, raising £5000

To celebrate the official opening of leading property services specialist Ian Williams’ new Plymouth office, a team of employees and directors recently took to their bikes and raised an incredible £5000 for The Brain Tumour Charity.

The two-day challenge started out from the company’s head office in Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire and saw the team cover 145 miles with approximately 5,000 feet of climbing each day, before reaching the new Plymouth office in time for the official opening.

Ian Williams’ Executive Director Mike Turner who took part in the challenge commented, “Setting off under the cloud of Storm Ophelia wasn’t the most auspicious of starts, but fortunately we avoided the worst of the weather! The team morale was spurred on by a great support team and some much-welcomed refreshments en route.

“But perhaps most motivating, was the fact we were doing it to raise money for a cause that’s close to the Plymouth office’s team hearts – The Brain Tumour Charity. Support was overwhelming and we were delighted to hit our £5000 target which we presented to Katie from The Charity”.

We are so grateful for the support of everyone at Ian Williams Ltd. Thank you for helping us get a step closer to a world where brain tumours are defeated.
