Research commitments in 2016
Last year we were proud to have awarded £5.4 million to fund new and exciting research across the world, including our New Ideas and Quest for Cures initiatives.
In 2016 we were delighted to have awarded 20 high quality grant applications for research funding to leading researchers from all over the UK and across the world.
Our research strategy, 'A Cure Can't Wait', outlines our research priorities as a Charity as we strive to create a world where brain tumours are defeated.
We're proud that all of our applications go through a rigorous peer review process, which is approved by the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC). This means that we only fund the highest quality research.
These patient-focused initiatives will drive forward progress and help us achieve our goals of doubling survival and halving the harm of those affected by brain tumours. It is due of the dedication of our supporters that we've been able to make this huge commitment to research and invest in these pioneering initiatives.
This research involves innovative approaches that could change our understanding, diagnosis and management of brain tumours.
