Research commitments in 2016
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve just awarded a combined £4.3 million to fund new and exciting research, including our New Ideas and Quest for Cures initiatives.
Last year we called for applications for research funding. We were delighted to receive applications from leading researchers all over the UK and across the world too.
We're proud that all of our applications go through a rigorous peer review process, which is approved by the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC). This means that we only fund the highest quality research.
These patient-focused initiatives will drive forward progress and help us achieve our goals of doubling survival and halving the harm of those affected by brain tumours. It's thanks to the dedication of our supporters that we've been able to make this huge commitment to research and invest in these pioneering initiatives.
This research involves innovative approaches that could change our understanding, diagnosis and management of brain tumours.
This research acknowledges the importance of international and interdisciplinary team approaches to accelerate research.
This strategy outlines our priorities over the next five years as we strive for a world where brain tumours are defeated.
