The impact your money makes

Regular gifts are an important way to make a vital difference to those affected by brain tumours and they mean the world of difference to us.

When you join our community of regular givers, you can help us achieve our goals of halving the harm and doubling survival for those diagnosed with a brain tumour and help end the pain of losing a loved one to this devastating disease.

By setting up a regular gift, you will help fund pioneering research to find new treatments, increase survival and quality of life and give a lifeline of support to those who need it most. Your regular gift can be as little as £2 a month, or as much as you like, but over time, every contribution adds up to something amazing.

A £10 donation each month could pay for 24 people to have their first conversation with us and get the support they need.

Tasha’s story

Tasha fought for eight years and achieved the impossible. She went on to study for a degree at university, became one of our Young Ambassadors and lived with her fiancé in her own home. Tasha also donated her brain to research after her death, so that researchers can find out more about the rare tumour, continuing that valuable hope for others affected.

When I was diagnosed with a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) at the age of 16, I was given no hope. My parents were told I would live for a year. But, The Charity offered something precious to everyone affected by a brain tumour: hope.

We give hope back

We’re here for everyone affected by a brain tumour to provide support, information and guidance every step of the way. The diagnosis of a brain tumour can be overwhelming and totally devastating. Yet it can be difficult to find information, or just someone to talk to during this difficult time and without support, those affected can begin to feel hopeless.

We have a dedicated support line for anyone who needs us, an online live chat service for those who, for whatever reason, don’t wish to pick up the phone, and a wealth of information available on our website too.

Whatever it is you need, we’re here for you.

The average cost of a takeaway for two

£20 a month could pay for two days of world-class research every year. Set up a Direct Debit today and help us to find a cure faster.

Research is just one other way your regular gift can make a difference

Research is the only way we will discover kinder, more effective treatments and, ultimately, stamp out brain tumours – for good! However, brain tumours are complex and research in to them takes a great deal of time and money.

But, by setting up a regular gift – as little as £2 per month – you can ensure that, for people like Tasha, their final wish is not carried out in vain and that others, like her and her family, no longer face this destructive disease.

Our support services and commitment to research is vital to defeating brain tumours

Across the UK, over 100,000 families just like Tasha’s are facing the overwhelming diagnosis of a brain tumour and it is only through the generosity of people like you can we continue to help them.

Your regular gift could do something amazing by helping to fund our Support and Information services, a lifeline for those facing a brain tumour diagnosis.

“I was in a dark place and didn’t know what to do. The support of The Brain Tumour Charity was vital in helping me dealing and coping with everything I was going through.”

We rely 100% on voluntary donations, including regular gifts – and these can be made in memory of, or inspired by, a loved one or dedicated to one of our Supporter Groups.

Setting up a Direct Debit for a regular donation is quick and simple to do, but the impact can last a life-time. Set up a regular gift today for as little as £2 a month.
