Hal Cruttenden stars in our Big Bandana Bake launch campaign

Today kicks off Brain Tumour Awareness Month (BTAM) and we’re going to be raising dough for research to make a difference for everyone affected.

Borrowing only ever so slightly from a certain big name brand’s ad campaigns (we like to think ‘inspired by’) we present comedian, actor and all-round good egg, Hal Cruttenden, starring in what is definitely a BAFTA-worthy performance for our Big Bandana Bake video

Watch what we cooked up!

Watch the video to find out what happened when we took one High Profile Supporter with a kitchen, added the finest creative concepts, whisked up a filming frenzy, and then let the dough rise.

Hal lost his mum to a glioblastoma brain tumour a few years ago and since then, he’s been a long-term supporter of The Charity and among many other campaigns, presented our 2018 Celebrating You Awards.

He’s gearing up to make a return on 3 July for our second Comedy Night at Underbelly on the Southbank, London.

He also unwittingly, lost the family’s favourite spatula in the process of this filming. We can only apologise Hal.

“The Brain Tumour Charity is fighting a massive battle against one of the toughest cancers to defeat. Having lost my mum to this horrible disease, I will always support and admire their great work.”

Our 2019 Big Bandana Bake aims to raise £200,000, which could fund a researcher and their work into new brain tumour treatments for three years.

Only by investing in world-class research can we discover better diagnostic techniques, develop new treatments and, ultimately, find a cure.
