Are there benefits for carers?
Even if you don’t view yourself as a carer, you may be eligible for financial support if you provided unpaid support to someone living with a brain tumour. This can include:
- Carer’s Allowance.
- Carer’s Credit.
- Council Tax Support.
Am I eligible for carer’s benefits?
Even if you aren’t sure you’ll be entitled to financial aid it’s always worthwhile learning more about the support that may be available. 35% of carers actually miss out on benefits because they don’t realise they are eligible.
We’ve partnered with Rushmoor Citizens Advice to provide a weekly clinic offering specialist benefits advice and assistance to people affected by brain tumours. Our benefits advisor can answer your questions, help you to fill in your application and guide you through the appeals process.
Please note, we’re a UK charity and are only able to offer appointments to those living in the UK
